The Student Care and Accountability Coordinator provides comprehensive support for student behavior, conduct, and well-being. This role serves as a hearing officer, adjudicates student conduct cases, co-leads and coordinates the Student Conduct Hearing Board, and actively supports the College's Care Team.
The coordinator manages Maxient workflows and case processes, triages student conduct complaints and concerns, and leads campus-wide marketing, programming, and training initiatives related to student conduct and conflict education. This position plays a vital role in fostering a respectful, safe, and supportive learning environment.
Under the direction of the Dean of Retention and Student Support, the Coordinator addresses student well-being and behavioral concerns across the College and connects students with appropriate services and resources. The role develops and implements college-wide policies, procedures, training, and educational initiatives related to student behavior and student support. The coordinator partners closely with management and staff to determine effective, legally compliant responses consistent with college policies.
The coordinator also serves as a designated independent, neutral, and confidential resource to assist students in conflict management and resolution through informal methods such as consultation, negotiation, and mediation. The coordinator supports the cultivation of a safe, inclusive, fair, and caring educational community that promotes learning and personal development. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing the College's non-academic student conduct process; coordinating individual and organizational conduct cases; implementing a comprehensive educational approach to help community members understand their individual and collective rights and responsibilities; developing and expanding educational programming focused on conflict resolution, student skill-building, and restorative practices; employing equity-minded best practices in student conduct and conflict education case management.

Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Multiple years of experience in a student conduct, care, and accountability center, educational administration, or related area.
Knowledge
Skilled in monitoring and evaluating programs, identifying gaps, and implementing improvements.
Abilities
Additional Considerations
Experience participating in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and policies. · Experience working in an office setting. · Experience complying with the Clery Act, Title IX, and/or Drug Free Schools and Communities Act is highly preferred. Prior experience serving on a behavior intervention team is preferred. · Familiarity with a student conduct platform. · Experience with higher education systems and platforms such as Maxient, Symplicity Advocate, Navigate, Datatel Colleague, SIS, or Google Workspace.
