Duties/Responsibilities

Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing program applications and inventorying supplies.

Create original content for and assist in the development of departmental publications and promotional materials.

The University of Georgia Washington Semester Program is the university's only undergraduate DC-based program that takes place during the fall and spring terms, and its only program open to students in all majors. Established in 2008, the Washington Semester Program enrolls up to 32 undergraduate students each term. In each program, students take two courses and live in Delta Hall while interning full-time. Interns play a vital role in the life of the program by assisting with recruitment, marketing, applications and various administrative tasks. Interns can work up to 20 hours per week.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

Should be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at the University of Georgia.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Proficiency with Mac OS and Microsoft Office.

Experiencing using photo editing and publications software is preferred.

Prior experience in Washington, DC is preferred.

Physical Demands

Sit at a desk for multiple hours; lifting up to 20 pounds.
