Junior Achievement Discovery Center Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Junior Achievement Discovery Center as a Dulany Waters Leadership Scholar beginning Spring 2026. Dulany Waters Leadership Scholars will play an essential role facilitating and coaching groups of 5-10 middle school students each session of the capstone simulation. They will be trained on both simulations: JA BizTown and JA Finance Park and will build great experience in teamwork, communication, and collaboration. They will engage middle school students in the process, facilitate valuable life-lesson discussions, and successfully navigate the middle school students through the simulations each day. They will provide a high level of customer service to all JA Discovery Center visitors (volunteers, teachers, middle school students, etc.).Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
