Position Title
Student Assistant for the Campbell-Wright HBCU Program

Purpose or role of this position at Morehouse

The purpose of the position is to support the connection between HBCUs working in the Gullah-Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor. The student will be responsible for helping to coordinate events, communications, and other logistics for public facing programs with the CWI Program.

Duties and Responsibilities

60% - Webpage/Social Media/Technical: Update the Campbell Wright Internship Webpage, newsletter, and social media sites on a DAILY and WEEKLY basis for items such as new events, features - news about successful past interns, etc. Post articles or links as needed, make corrections or additions as needed. Be familiar with Morehouse College's intranet, Social Media, Form Stack, Outlook and Canva. Create and distribute electronic surveys and ballots as needed.

30% - Office support. Coordinate mail, any deliveries and answer inquiries about various events and programs. Work with the director to purchase any needed supplies for displays and student events.

10% - Perform other duties as needed and assigned by supervisor and/or intern coordinator

General Qualifications

Currently enrolled college student in good academic standing.

Specific Qualifications

Must be able to use the Microsoft Office Suite-including managing Bookings, and other Calendar Input.
-Should have previous Interpretive Guide training
-Must have good oral and written communication skills
-Humanities, Social Sciences, Media, and Arts students preferred
