Normal Work Schedule: Varies; Monday - Friday, some evenings & weekends.

Job Summary: The Housing Operations Student Assistant provides operations support for the Housing and Residential Communities (HRC) department. Reports directly to the Coordinator of Housing Operations for Logistics. Assists with furniture and inventory moves and relocation to all residential buildings on-campus. Assists with work orders when related to HRC. Assists with daily operations and other special projects.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Current University of Alabama undergraduate student. Motivated, hardworking, and dedicated. Strong organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 40-lbs. Ability to work a flexible schedule Monday - Friday, including some evenings and weekends.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment.  Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters.  Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment.  Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
