Provides students the opportunity to serve as representatives of Career Discovery and Success and explore aspects of non-profit organization management, retail management, apparel merchandising, and inventory management. Campus Career Closet Ambassadors strengthen Career Discovery and Success’s engagement with the Auburn University community on a peer-to-peer level. These efforts include Pop-up Career Closet on the concourse that provides resources, information, and styling tips to students, developing style tips and coordinating outfits for social media posts, scheduling donation drop-offs, intaking and organizing new inventory, rehoming inventory that has not moved, and assisting with clothing drives. Those who serve as an Ambassador are also expected to engage in mandatory training, regular meetings, and supervision, as well as pre-schedule professional development sessions. Ambassadors also play a vital role in the recruitment and training of future Ambassadors.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a valuable source of information and support for students seeking attire.
- Market and promote Career Discovery and Success Campus Career Closet.
- Facilitate individual career closet drop-ins and appointments.
- Support communication and outreach efforts related to donations and dress for success initiatives.
- May provide outreach by providing presentations to classes and student organizations related to dressing for success.
Qualifications:
- Current Auburn University student
- Commit at least two full semesters
- Maintain minimum GPA of 2.75
- Available for Mandatory Training/Orientation Session prior to start of Fall or Spring semester
- Attend pre-scheduled, regular Ambassador meetings, Supervision, and Professional Development Sessions
- Commit to a minimum 32 hours per semester
Preferred applicants for Campus Career Closet have a major in non-profit organization management, retail management, marketing, supply chain management, apparel merchandising, inventory management or related fields.
Pay Range:
USD $9.00 - USD $9.00 /Hr.
