Description & Requirements
Bloomberg is looking for a driven reporter to break news in the structured finance markets with a specific focus on the rapidly growing world of asset-based finance. You will be responsible for breaking news on current and upcoming deals in that market as well as new products and key regulatory changes. You'll work with a larger group of reporters that are chronicling the expansion of private markets as well as more traditional financial products including mortgage bonds, collateralized loan obligations, and asset-backed securities.
The ideal candidate will have skills in developing sources, breaking news, and identifying the biggest trends in finance. We'll expect you to:
• Break news on asset-based finance and other structured credit deals while building market sources that help you connect the dots • Be comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment • Be innovative and think creatively about ways to reach both the market pros as well as a broader audience of business-savvy readers
You'll need:
• Previous experience in financial journalism or credit markets • Ability to write quickly and clearly under deadline pressure • An ability to spot trends, find holes in stories, and work with reporters to deliver impactful news to our readers
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 USD Annually
