The Role
As a Project Manager, you will oversee structural steel projects from award through completion. This is a high-responsibility, high-ownership role managing multiple active projects at various stages.
You’ll work closely with estimators, accounting, purchasing, detailing, shop leadership, and field management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
This role is primarily office-based on the south west side of Indianapolis with limited travel.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Manage 15–25 structural steel projects simultaneously (various phases)
Oversee full lifecycle of projects
Review and interpret structural/fabrication drawings
Coordinate with Estimators, Accounting, Purchasing, Detailers, Shop Foreman, and Field Managers
Communicate directly with General Contractors, Owners, Architects, Engineers, Erectors, etc.
Attend jobsite meetings as needed
Manage project budgets using Sage 100 Contractor (or similar ERP systems)
Required Experience
5+ years Structural Fabrication Project Management experience
Ability to read and understand structural/fabrication drawings
Budget management experience
Strongly Preferred
Structural steel fabrication project management experience
Experience working in an AISC-certified facility
Experience with Sage 100 Contractor
Basic knowledge of Tekla or BIM software
Candidates coming from general contracting backgrounds may be considered if they bring significant commercial construction experience (ideally 8–10+ years).
Compensation
- $85,000 – $140,000 base salary (depending on experience)
- Additional company-performance-based bonus potential

- Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with flexibility based on workload)
- May have occasional project site travel (mostly day travel)
