Job DescriptionJVA is seeking a full-time Senior Project Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team in our Boulder or Fort Collins office. Successful candidates will be capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices in broad areas. Senior project engineers work in tandem with senior staff to plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work on projects of moderate scope or on a portion of a major project.Example Responsibilities And ActivitiesPlan, coordinate, and direct small to mid-size projects.Supervise engineering tasks of Design Engineers.Complete project-specific detailing.Create building analysis models using RAM or RISA.Assist Senior Project Manager or Principal with client and staff management on large projects.Coordinate Construction Administration services with Project Manager.Independently conduct site visits and prepare field observation reports.Review and approve invoices.Salary Range$94,000 - $122,000Closing DateOpen until filledJob RequirementsRequired QualificationsAbility to obtain Colorado PE License within six months of hire: Have the required combination of education and engineering experience to be able to obtain a Colorado civil PE license within six months of hire.Ability to design and detail composite steel structural systems with reinforced concrete foundations.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.Collaboration: Successfully work within a team environment.Prioritize and Pivot: Produce high quality results while balancing multiple projects and deadlines.Preferred QualificationsMasonry experience: Ability to design and detail CMU bearing and shear walls.Software Utilization: Ability to produce structural plans and details in REVIT.
