Overview A growing and well-established engineering firm is seeking a Structural Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, educational, industrial, institutional, and residential developments. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who also enjoys managing projects, mentoring teams, and engaging with clients. The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through construction while contributing to the overall success and growth of the team.Responsibilities Manage structural engineering projects from initial concept through final deliveryLead the design and analysis of structural systems across a variety of project types including commercial, education, industrial, institutional, and residentialOversee the preparation of construction documents, calculations, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standardsCoordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and efficient project deliveryServe as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication throughout the project lifecycleMonitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful deliveryReview and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals to maintain quality and design intentConduct site visits to evaluate construction progress and address field conditionsMentor and guide junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional developmentQualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering6 to 12 years of structural engineering experience, with demonstrated project management responsibilitiesProfessional Engineer license requiredProven experience managing projects across commercial, educational, industrial, institutional, and residential sectorsStrong technical background in steel, concrete, wood, and masonry designProficiency with structural design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, or similarExperience with Revit or other BIM platformsStrong understanding of building codes and industry standardsKey Skills Strong leadership and project management capabilitiesExcellent communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilitiesCollaborative mindset with a proactive approach to project deliveryWhat Sets This Role Apart This opportunity provides a clear path toward senior leadership while maintaining hands-on involvement in technically diverse and impactful projects.
