The Role

Supervises employees who test and/or inspect products to determine compliance with specifications.

Must Have

Apprentice graduate, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 6 years of applicable technical experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 2 years as a Supervisor Test Inspection 1 or equivalent position plus a minimum of 8 years related non-exempt experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree and experience.

Nice to Have

Prior inspection experience and/or knowledge of structural RCOH, Sub-Fleet Support, VCS PSA, CVN Inactivation experience is preferred.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Strong leadership skills, be able to interpret and understand drawings/methods/procedures, analyze Inspection Reports/Engineering Reports, train Supervisors and build metrics to measure performance. The ability to read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings highly preferred.

Applicant should have the ability to climb tall ladders, crawl tanks/bilges in confined spaces, and work in adverse environment conditions.

Applicant should have the ability to access tight or confined spaces by crawling, bending, stooping, and squatting.

Applicant should have the ability to access elevated and recessed areas with the use of ladders.
