Job Responsibilities & RequirementsResponsible for leading and developing a team of engineers to meet productivity targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Provides engineering guidance and expertise to an engineering team composed of Component Designers, Engineering Interns, and possibly Professional Engineers.ResponsibilitiesEffective leadership of an engineering teamMentor team members and promote their professional growthDiscuss projects with other supervisors or engineers for compliance with company policies and proceduresReview customer and/or Product Management Team specified parameters for building componentsCreate and review parameters against engineering standardsDiscuss design modifications and appropriate design methodologies with customers and/or Product Management TeamAssist customers and/or Product Management Team in troubleshooting issues and design problemsResolve customer and/or Product Management Team complaintsMaintain harmony among workers and resolve grievancesHelp assigned customers to engineers and manage workload among engineersAnswer technical questions from customers and employeesSupport development of procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintainedLeadership ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the professional development of team members, playing a key role to guide, coach, and provide constructive feedback to support team members to reach their full potential. Create a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, respect for diverse perspectives, and empowers team members to excel in their roles.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering required4+ years of related engineering experience requiredExperience leading projects and/or initiatives requiredEquivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basisLicensed Professional Engineer – Any State Board preferredSoft SkillsGood understanding of statics and strength of materialsAccuracy – ability to perform work accurately and thoroughlyActive listening – ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of othersTechnical skills – must have solid engineering/technical skills, including attention to detailSafety – must have an outstanding safety record and follow all safety policies and proceduresQuality – demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
