The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of structures to ensure they are safe, sustainable, and cost-effective. This includes buildings, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure. The Structural Engineer will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality projects.ResponsibilitiesDesign and AnalysisPerform calculations to ensure structures can withstand various loads and forces and stamp own drawingsAnalyze building materials for strength, durability, and cost-effectivenessWork with design engineers to produce standard designsProject ManagementBe the single point of contact for all design engineers sending work out to multiple structural consultantsManage the workload to structural consultants with quickest turnaround in mindParticipate in meetings with structural consultants to ensure that they have all necessary inputs and produce a high-quality stamped drawingManage project timelines and budgets relative to structural analysisSupport questions coming from construction site related to structural analysisCompliance and StandardsEnsure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes and regulationsProblem SolvingIdentify and resolve design and construction issuesProvide technical advice and support during construction phasesDocumentation and ReportingPrepare and present reports, proposals, and other documentationMaintain accurate records of design changes and project progressCoaching new engineers in making cost effective and easy to manufacture designsQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
