Overview Our client is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support the design and execution of large-scale steel erection projects nationwide. This position plays a critical role in developing engineered bracing, lifting, and sequencing plans that ensure safety, stability, and efficiency in the field. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of structural steel behavior and a collaborative mindset that bridges engineering with field operations.Responsibilities Perform structural analyses and stability evaluations for steel erection projectsDesign and review engineered bracing systems, lifting devices, and crane pick plansDevelop sequencing strategies to ensure safe and efficient erection methodsCollaborate with project management and field teams to solve complex engineering challengesUtilize CAD and modeling software to create detailed drawings and sequencing visualsConduct occasional site visits to assess conditions and communicate design intentProvide technical guidance to internal teams, clients, and subcontractorsRequirements Professional Engineer (PE) license required; must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Wisconsin or MinnesotaMinimum 6 years of experience in structural engineering; steel erection experience strongly preferredProficiency in Tekla or similar design/modeling software; Bluebeam and Microsoft Office proficiency requiredStrong understanding of steel fabrication, erection practices, and field coordinationExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsWillingness to travel occasionally to project sites (typically short trips)Why Join Our Client Our client is a leading structural steel contractor with a strong reputation for precision, safety, and reliability across complex projects nationwide.
