We are searching for a Structural Engineer. In this important role, you will provide structural expertise on project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction.

Schedule Full Time - 40 hours/week

Salary Range Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Base pay range $60K - $90K plus incentive compensation.

Job Responsibilities

All aspects of structural engineering design, documentation, and construction administration.

  • Execute planning for projects, including development of the project scope, task organization, estimates of effort, and other required resources and schedules necessary to complete the project.
  • Creates estimate of cost and budget for the project.
  • Preparation of technical reports.
  • Performs field surveys and forensic engineering.
  • Participates in project accounting processes, including review of time and expense charges to projects, timely preparation of invoicing, and management of accounts receivable, AR, and work-in-process, WIP, in accordance with the companys policies.
  • Reviews and assesses the progress and financial performance of all assigned projects on a regular and ongoing basis.
  • Coordinates and implements changes in resource assignments, production methods, etc., to achieve optimum efficiency and profitability.
  • Communicates openly and frequently with clients during the course of a project to ensure that all issues are addressed efficiently to the clients satisfaction.
  • Prepares, conducts, and documents all progress review and other meetings.
  • Implements appropriate quality management procedures on projects and assignments in accordance with company policy.
  • Stays abreast of new engineering trends and techniques.
  • Participates in professional organizations in the area of expertise and/or client focus.
  • Maintains professional licensure in the states required by the company.
  • Engage in business development and pursuit of structural clients, including architects, engineers, governmental agencies, local, county, state, and the private sector.
  • Participate in client maintenance and support opportunities, makes project-driven presentations to clients, participates in client maintenance and relationship development, resolves client issues and concerns.
  • Assist with promoting and maintaining and promoting the companys external image brand. This may include, for example, serving on a public board, participating in community activities, participating in professional organizations, events related to engineering services, and similar activities.
  • Recommend sub-consultants and prepare sub-consultant contracts. Manage and coordinate work of sub-consultants.
  • May act as a primary contact with State and Federal agencies and/or serve on local or state boards.
  • Assisting in the marketing of N&W services as well as the preparation of engineering project proposals.
  • Monitoring of regulations that affect our clients, our industry, and N&W.
  • Preparing project status reports when requested by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, as well as recommending action.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering, Structural Civil Engineering, or related engineering program from an ABET accredited curriculum. Masters Degree in Structural Engineering a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience, 6 years preferred. Minimum EIT licensure, Licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania preferred. Valid Drivers License. Experience in structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, wood, CFM, and foundations. Knowledge of building codes and design standards IBC, ACI, ASCE, and AISC. Familiarity with common structural engineering software, including RAM Structural System, Enercalc, REVIT, and AutoCAD. Has the legal right to work in the U.S.
