DPP is seeking a Structural Engineer for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace industry.
Work location: Onsite in Merritt Island, Florida Work schedule: C-shift F-Su, 6 AM – 6 PM Duration: 3 months Term: W2 contract
Position summary:
We are looking for a Structural Engineer II to support the rapid design and fielding of temporary structures.
You will work closely with stakeholders to define requirements and iterate on designs quickly.
Responsibilities:
Engage stakeholders to gather and clarify structural and functional requirements
Translate requirements into vendor-ready design packages suitable for fabrication and construction
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and site conditions
Coordinate with vendors during fabrication to resolve RFIs and design clarifications
Incorporate engineering changes and design revisions in a fast-moving environment
Maintain revision-controlled drawing sets and document key design decisions
Support design reviews and resolve technical questions in the field
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
3+ years of structural, civil, or mechanical engineering experience
Experience producing fabrication-ready design packages for external vendors
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements
Proficiency in relevant CAD or design tools
Preferred:
Familiarity with anchorage, foundation, and environmental load considerations for temporary installations
Credentials:
This role will require the ability to qualify for a DBIDS badge
