Structural Engineer (Entry-Level)

Area: Chadds Ford, PA (onsite)
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary:

• Prepare structural design calculations for reinforced concrete, structural steel, wood, and masonry structures on utility-related projects
• Prepare sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work
• Review shop drawings and recommend necessary changes
• Assist with field surveys and support preparation of improvement plans, supporting documents, and permit applications for private and public works projects
• Perform plan drafting and support project CAD coordination
• Maintain project documentation, including calculations and project filing
• Communicate and coordinate project activities with internal team members, and interface with vendors with supervisor support
• Learn from senior engineers through on-the-job training, including field time in OSHA-defined spaces once trained
• Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and FEM software (RISA3D preferred); Revit experience a plus
