In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world's leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.What You'll DoYou'll work individually and in teams to support complex industrial design and EPC projects for our Food, Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, and Life Science sector manufacturing clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.Prepare design and construction documents for new structures and for structural upgrades to existing facilities as a part of an integrated multi-disciplinary A/E teamAssist the owner or project manager in defining the facility requirements/program for projects in the advanced technologies industryAnalyze and design concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures with an emphasis on seismic designWork with the project team to produce structural calculations, calculation checks, drawings, specifications, reports, and other project deliverablesAnalyze existing structures and provide recommendations for strengthening new loads where requiredDevelop design sketches into completed working details and drawings based on engineering fundamentals and applicable codesEnsure timely deliverables and exceed client expectationsConduct field work including handling structural as‑builts, rebuilds, retrofits, construction technical support, and client personnel interactionAnalyze configurations of basic project structural componentsMake an impact day‑to‑day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and teamWhat You'll BringA minimum of 2 years of experience as a structural designer (EIT) or engineerExperience in the analysis and design of structures with an emphasis on seismic designHands on experience with structural engineering software such as ETABS, RISA, RAM, STAAD, SAP, Mathcad, and ENERCALCExperience with AutoCAD and REVIT (preferred)Knowledge of building codes and seismic requirementsExperience in private sector industrial repair/remediation and greenfield projects (preferred)The ability to climb stairs, ladders, and equipment/structures of varying heightsProficiency with Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointProficiency in written and verbal communication including generating reports and conducting group presentationsA bachelor of science in civil engineering or a master of science in structural engineering from an ABET accredited institutionEIT (a must have)Professional Engineer License (a plus if you have it, must be willing to pursue and obtain)Relocation assistance may be available for outstanding candidates, determined on an individual basis.Benefits & Career DevelopmentOur culture and commitment to our people fosters an environment of mutual respect, integrity, and unconditional interest in the individual and collective success of our professionals.
