Tired of the same cooking cutter projects and looking for some variation ?A well known structural engineering firm with clients all across the southeast is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support a variety of residential projects including inspections, renovations, new home designs and forensic investigations. The firm is known for quick turnaround times, high-quality engineering work, and practical, cost‑effective design solutions.ResponsibilitiesPerform calculations for beam sizing, load‑bearing wall removals, renovations, additions, and custom home designs up to large square footages.Produce design documents, structural layouts, and detailed repair recommendations.Conduct on‑site inspections to assess foundation cracks, wood damage, framing issues, moisture‑related deterioration, and other structural concerns.Perform forensic analysis of observed symptoms and provide clear, feasible repair guidance.Translate engineering findings into accessible language for homeowners, contractors, and real estate professionals.Support clients in obtaining competitive bids by issuing well‑defined repair recommendations.Work with internal staff including CAD drafters and licensed engineers to deliver accurate, timely project packages.Manage multiple assignments while maintaining strong communication and documentation standards.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.P.E. License.6+ years experience in residential design and inspection.Understanding of residential construction, wood framing, and typical structural failure mechanisms.Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.Valid driver's license and ability to perform fieldwork.Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools#J-18808-Ljbffr
