Job Title: Structural Designer (Intermediate Level)
Location: Tempe, AZ
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Work Environment: Onsite or hybrid based on project needs


Position Summary

We are seeking an Intermediate Level Structural Designer to join a growing design team in Tempe, AZ. In this role, you will be a key contributor responsible for developing design concepts and producing high-quality 2D and 3D deliverables. You will support structural modeling efforts using Revit or similar design tools for advanced technology manufacturing environments, including semiconductor fabrication and support facilities.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of your work within a defined scope, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and grow your technical capabilities in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D structural models based on verbal direction, sketches, and design criteria
  • Produce complete drawing packages or portions of drawing sets aligned with project scope
  • Apply department and client standards consistently, incorporating review feedback
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and manage workload independently within defined scope
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of work prior to submission
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated project execution
  • Participate in QA/QC, BIM coordination, and design review processes
  • Execute routine tasks independently after initial direction
  • Seek clarification when scope or standards are unclear
  • Support team members and contribute to overall project success
  • Continuously develop skills in design automation and emerging technologies
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and contribute to a strong culture of accountability and care

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completed coursework in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design
  • Minimum 2 years of structural drafting/design experience
  • At least 1 year of experience using Revit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned scope effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or a related field
  • 3+ years of Revit experience
  • Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam
  • Background in designing steel and concrete structures
  • Experience with industrial facilities, ideally in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments
