If you're an experienced design engineer with a passion for aerospace structures, innovation, and solving real-world engineering challenges, this opportunity offers the chance to make an immediate and lasting impact. **Position Details** **Job Title:** Structural Design Engineer **Job Type:** Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment) **Location:** Renton, WA **Schedule:** Monday-Friday | First Shift | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM **Pay Rate Starting at :** $60.81 per hour **Your Role & Impact** As a Structural Design Engineer, you will support airframe production by developing and improving structural designs for a major commercial aircraft platform. Your work will directly contribute to production efficiency, product quality, and the continued success of a globally recognized aviation program. This is an ideal role for engineers who enjoy fast-paced environments, cross-functional collaboration, and bringing technical solutions to life. **What You'll Do** **Day-to-Day Responsibilities:** + Develop and support structural design solutions for aircraft airframe components and assemblies + Create and modify 3D models, drawings, and engineering data using CATIA V5 + Provide production support by resolving structural design issues quickly and effectively + Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, tooling, and cross-functional engineering teams + Evaluate engineering changes for structural integrity, fit, function, and manufacturability + Utilize specific tools and processes to manage design updates and releases + Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design and production processes + Deliver practical technical solutions to a wide variety of engineering challenges **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with focus areas such as: + Mechanical Engineering + Civil Engineering + Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering + Material Sciences + 8+ years of related structural design experience + Proficiency with CATIA V5 + Experience with specific design tools and engineering processes **Preferred Qualifications** + Previous experience working on the 737 program in Structures + Ability to excel in a dynamic, team-oriented environment + Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly + Self-starter who recognizes needs and takes initiative independently + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver technical solutions efficiently + Familiarity with DCCS, ETAC, and PDM systems **Why Join PDS Tech Commercial?** At PDS Tech Commercial, we connect top professionals with exciting opportunities in aerospace, manufacturing, and advanced technology.
