The ideal candidate will have a history of successfully completing multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to interface significantly with clients.LocationThis position offers flexibility within the Front Range of Colorado. Benesch is expanding our Colorado division, and we welcome candidates from diverse areas including but not limited to Greeley, Fort Collins, Johnstown, in addition to the Denver Metro area.Key ProjectsI-25 Exit 11: Interchange improvements in Trinidad, Colorado, modernized the junction with twin roundabouts, a new bridge, and enhanced access to Fishers Peak and Trinidad Lake State Parks. Replaced the older, "confusing" bridge, widened ramps, and installed dual roundabouts to improve capacity and reduce safety risks.8th Street Corridor: Project in Colorado Springs widening the bridge over Fountain Creek. Key improvements include adding a new northbound lane, a dedicated right-turn lane, and a multi-use path to improve traffic capacity and pedestrian connectivity near US Highway 24.Peoria Over Sand Creek: Benesch is providing comprehensive design services for the City of Aurora's Peoria Street bridge replacement over Sand Creek. The project widens Peoria Street to six lanes and replaces a flood-prone, 60-year-old bridge. Benesch's work includes structural and hydraulic design, ADA-compliant multimodal facilities, drainage, geotechnical investigation, utility coordination, environmental documentation, and public outreach to improve safety, mobility, and community access.The Impact You Will HaveMentor junior and mid-level engineersServe as Engineer-of-Record for structural elements of projectsPerform quality control checks on plans, calculations, reports, and other deliverablesUnderstand the overall project requirements and facilitate coordination with clients and between disciplines.Manage project teams, accountable for scope, schedule, and budgetDevelop and manage relationships with new and existing clientsRepresent Benesch at industry and professional engagement eventsIdentify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuitsWhat You Will NeedBS in Civil and/or Structural Engineering required; MS in Structural Engineering a plusColorado PE or SE License required or ability to obtainMinimum 8 years of relevant bridge design experience; experience with CDOT projects and standards a plusExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environmentProven experience working with the CDOT and/or Colorado local agencies a plusExperience with writing and preparing technical reports associated with structural and other civil engineering disciplines which may be a deliverable during a feasibility or conceptual phaseExcellent business development, project management, and/or client relation skillsExperience working directly with clients developing relationships, with ability to win workStrong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to budgets, schedules, and contractual requirementsBenefitsOur benefits package is designed to take care of our employees.
