    Description

    The Legacy Engines and APU Structures Group within the Component Design & Analysis (CDA) directorate is responsible for the design, development and analysis of static gas turbine engine components. The successful applicant will perform strength, fatigue, containment, heat transfer and other stress analyses, support test activities, communicate with project engineering teams, plan resources and manpower, conduct design reviews, present to internal and external customers, document work, and engage in process improvement initiatives.Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid work schedule).ResponsibilitiesPerform stress analysis using finite element and classical calculation methods, and support testing.Plan manpower, tasks, and schedules.Coordinate projects and ensure compliance.Manage risk and develop processes.Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Core QualificationsBachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.At least 2 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines.Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software and classical hand calculation methods.Additional QualificationsPractical knowledge of ANSYS finite element analysis software.Significant experience in new product development within a highly regulated environment.Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.Experience operating in a matrix organization.Track record of successful contribution to products and projects.Enthusiastic mindset for process improvement initiatives.Excellent written and oral communication skills.BenefitsThe benefits package includes employer-subsidized medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; short‑ and long‑term disability; 401(k) match; flexible spending accounts; health savings accounts; employee assistance program; educational assistance; parental leave; paid time off (vacation, personal business, sick, and parental leave); and 12 paid holidays.ComplianceDue to U.S. export control laws, candidates must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status).#J-18808-Ljbffr
