Job Summary:

The Stroke Outreach Quality Coordinator oversees stroke services coordination at University Hospital''s Stroke Program. Reporting to the Stroke Program Manager, this role collaborates closely with various entities within the program, including the Medical Director of Stroke Services, Department of Neurology, Department of Neurosurgery, Department of Radiology, Department of Emergency Services, Hospital Administration, Upstate Emergency Department, and the Core Stroke Team. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining relationships with staff from affiliated hospitals, Emergency Medical Services agencies, and communities across the region. The coordinator supports referring hospitals in meeting Stroke Program Regulatory Requirements and American Heart/American Stroke Association guidelines. They also assess, provide, and evaluate education for Emergency Medical Services, referring hospitals, and community organizations. Additionally, the role oversees the implementation and ongoing quality assessment of Telemedicine services for the Stroke program. The Stroke Outreach Quality Coordinator must collaborate effectively across disciplines to enhance the overall systemic stroke care

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) RN, Bachelor''s degree in Nursing plus two years satisfactory post-licensure acute care RN experience OR Associate''s degree in Nursing plus five years satisfactory post-licensure acute care RN experience required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous work experience in specialty desirable. One year supervisory/management experience preferred.
