Responsibilities

In this role the Stress Technician will perform the following job duties:

  • Upon the order of a physician provide direct patient care services:

  • Holter Monitor and Ambulatory Blood Pressure application

  • Physiologic monitoring of the cardiopulmonary system (ECG, and Exercise Tolerance Testing both chemical and regular)

  • Phlebotomy

  • NICOM (non-invasive cardiac monitoring cardiography)

  • Utilize selected healthcare applications proficiently: MUSE Everywhere and Allscripts

  • Stay abreast on all equipment functions and associated precautions and hazards of all equipment used.

  • Provide necessary support to maintain proper equipment function

  • Adhere to the proper procedure for obtaining, charging for, and returning supplies/equipment and maintains adequate supply levels through the use of accurate inventory control

  • Review daily work to check for completeness, obvious errors or omissions

  • Provide efficient transportation for patients both to and from requesting service areas

  • All other duties as assigned

Schedule

FTE: .90 (36 hours/week) or 1.0 (40 hours/week)

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm

Days: Monday-Friday

Sites: Murabella and Nocatee. Fleming Island, Jacksonville, St Augustine, as needed.

Qualifications

Education / Training

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent

Additional Information: Post-Employment: Phlebotomy competency required for Out Patient Laboratory.

Experience Requirements

  • 0 -1 year Stress Technician

Certificates/Licenses/Registration

Certification provided by the American Heart Association (AHA):

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Additional Information: Post-Employment: BLS and ACLS, provided by the American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days of hire.
