Introduction

Performs street cleaning and equipment maintenance operations to ensure the cleanliness of dedicated city streets and City-owned parking lots.

Anticipated starting salary may be up to mid-point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $30.74 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Two (2) years of experience operating a motor sweeper or other comparable piece of heavy equipment.

Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements

  • A valid driver's license with no major driving citations within the past 39 months prior to offer date is required.
  • Must possess and maintain at minimum, a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tank endorsement at the time of application and maintain throughout tenure and will be subject to unannounced alcohol and drug testing as required by law. The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles requires out-of-state CDLs must be surrendered within 30 days of relocating to the State of Arizona.
  • Obtain within six months of hire or promotion and maintain through tenure a Maricopa County Particulate Matter-10 (PM-10) Air Quality Standards Certification.
  • Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.

Other pertinent licenses and/or certifications may be required of some positions depending on department/section assignment.
