It is a public sector employer with access to powers and funding to unlock transport and housing improvements, boost skills provision and help the economy transition to net zero for York and North Yorkshire. The Mayor also holds responsibilities in relation to Policing, Fire and Crime. The Opportunity
The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Strategy and Policy Officer to support our Skills, Education and Employment team in the development and preparation of key strategies, policies and plans, as well as programme implementation.
The Skills, Education and Employment teamwork in partnership with Local Authorities, Government Departments and other key Skills, Education and Employment stakeholders to ensure the Combined Authority has a strong and robust strategic and evidence led approach to skills, education and employment investment that addresses the challenges and ambitions of our growing economy
