We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support a growing manufacturing organization by developing supplier relationships, executing sourcing strategies, and driving procurement excellence across direct and indirect spend categories. This role will partner closely with engineering, operations, manufacturing, planning, and quality teams to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and supplier performance while supporting business growth initiatives.

This position offers the opportunity to influence sourcing strategy, supplier development, cost reduction initiatives, and supply chain optimization efforts.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, materials, components, and services.
Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to support business growth and supply chain resiliency.
Lead RFQ, RFP, and supplier bidding processes including commercial analysis and supplier selection.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, contracts, and long-term supply agreements.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Conduct supplier performance reviews evaluating quality, delivery, responsiveness, capacity, and cost competitiveness.
Drive cost reduction initiatives through sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, value analysis, and process improvements.
Support working capital improvement initiatives including inventory optimization and lead-time reduction.
Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and make-versus-buy evaluations.
Monitor commodity trends, market conditions, tariffs, logistics costs, and supply chain risks.
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, operations, planning, and quality teams to support production requirements and business objectives.
Support new product introductions through supplier selection, sourcing strategies, and supply readiness activities.
Collaborate on supplier development initiatives including capacity planning, manufacturing readiness, and process improvements.
Assist in resolving supplier performance issues and supply disruptions.
Develop risk mitigation strategies including dual sourcing, supplier diversification, and business continuity planning.
Evaluate supplier capabilities and identify opportunities for supply chain improvements.
Maintain sourcing documentation, supplier agreements, and procurement records within ERP systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement efficiency and supplier performance.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or supplier management.
Experience negotiating pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, energy, electronics, fabrication, or engineered products experience.
Experience sourcing metals, fabricated components, electrical assemblies, electronics, wire harnesses, machined parts, castings, or industrial commodities.
Knowledge of global sourcing, supplier risk management, tariffs, and international supply chains.
Experience working with suppliers throughout North America, Mexico, Europe, and Asia.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
Experience with supplier development and supplier quality programs.
APICS, CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or related supply chain certifications.
