Title: Stretegic Sourcing Manager
Location: Fully Remote (15-25% travel)
Hire Type: 1+ year long contact

Compensation: $50-75/hrly

Must have Skill Set: Strong commodity sourcing experience 

 Overview:
A growing automation and engineered systems company is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to support a large-scale custom equipment project. This role will focus on supplier development, commodity management, and sourcing strategy for complex automation builds with over 10K SKUs and 150+ suppliers. 

Job Duties:  

• Manage sourcing activities for fabricated, machined, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related components
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships while negotiating pricing, lead times, and contracts
• Travel to vendor sites to evaluate capabilities, quality, and performance
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams on custom machine builds
• Drive supplier performance, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:  

• 7+ years of sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience in manufacturing, automation, OEM machinery, or industrial equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
• Experience managing technical suppliers and engineered components
• ERP and Excel proficiency required
• Background in automation, robotics, or custom machine building preferred
