Minimum qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in strategy, operations, business development, partnerships, or professional services (e.g., consulting or banking).
  • Experience influencing/working with stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in business development, OEM licensing, partnership management, or agreement negotiations within the consumer electronics, semiconductor, or wireless communications industry.
  • Experience working with hardware/software integration or managing partnerships that involve technical hardware specifications.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing projects with multiple stakeholders in a fluid environment.
  • Excellent investigative and financial modeling skills, with the ability to assess partnership opportunities and develop business cases.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

The Android Multi-Device/Better Together team is at the forefront of orchestrating a cohesive, intuitive experience across the hardware ecosystem. We are building a future where the friction between devices disappears, allowing users to effortlessly discover, connect, and command their personal tech landscape.

In this role, you will support Universal Accessibility, ensuring technology aids user needs at the right time and place. You will collaborate with internal engineering and legal teams, as well as external chipset makers, device manufacturers, and venue providers, to integrate services into the global accessibility network. You will act as a technical leader and drive projects from concept to launch. You will build multi-device experiences that connect hardware, software, and accessibility.

As a Strategic Partnership Manager, you will shape the strategy for how our ecosystem interacts with hearing health and next-generation audio technologies. You will lead business development across a set of partners to ensure our platforms are interconnected.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$161,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain direct relationships with accessibility and audio technology partners to scale the goal across the ecosystem.
  • Structure and close strategic agreements involving LE Audio, Auracast, and Hearing Aids Partner integrations within timelines.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to identify gaps in the multi-device experience. Build holistic business cases for new features and gain leadership buy-in.
  • Act as the connective tissue between Legal, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure technical standards are translated into viable business models.
  • Represent the accessibility community in roadmap meetings and business reviews to ensure design is a core product pillar.
