The Beacom School of Business at The University of South Dakota is a vibrant, internationally accredited business school that has served students since 1927. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and creative individual for this Strategic Enrollment and Marketing Specialist. The successful candidate will bring a positive energy to recruiting undergraduate and graduate students for the Beacom School of Business. The individual will work closely with the Dean and Associate Dean. This position's responsibilities include:

Data Analytics Reporting: Includes being able to:

  • Provide analytical strategic planning support using data analytics reporting to maintain dashboards and reports on lead generation, conversion rates, demographic trends, and campaign performance.
  • Use CRM data (e.g., Slate, Salesforce) to segment audiences, track engagement, and refine recruitment strategies. Increase recruitment efforts, number of applicants and enrollment.
  • Utilize Slate to maintain dashboards and reports on lead generation, conversion rates, demographic trends, and campaign performance; as well as developing and executing touchpoints
  • Collect data, apply analytical skills to interpret data to present insights and recommendations to leadership to support strategic enrollment planning.
  • Use CRM data (e.g., Slate, Salesforce) to segment audiences, track engagement, and refine recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct market research on competitor programs, regional workforce needs, and emerging trends in business education in building strategic initiatives.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership to support strategic enrollment planning.
  • Track ROI for strategic priority initiatives such as those for paid digital and print ads.

Brand Management and Marketing: Includes being able to:

  • Develop, propose and implement marketing strategy, brand management, digital marketing and content development strategic initiatives, recruitment plans, and targeted tactics under direction of Dean of Beacom School of Business and Associate Dean.
  • Utilize innovative and critical thought to develop initiatives, strategies and tactics, and select appropriate target markets designed to grow quality undergraduate and graduate student body.
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans for undergraduate, graduate, and professional business programs such as the eMBA and certificates.
  • Create compelling messaging that highlights program differentiators such as accreditation, faculty expertise, industry partnerships, and career outcomes.
  • Oversee brand consistency across all platforms, ensuring alignment with the business school and university‑wide standards.
  • Coordinate with university marketing to manage and optimize program webpages for accuracy, SEO performance, and user experience.
  • Create and curate content for BSB annual magazine and quarterly newsletters, as well as ongoing social media and digital and print ads that elevate the business school's visibility while in accordance with University guidelines.
  • Contribute to long‑term enrollment forecasting and strategic planning initiatives.

Outreach and Partnership Building: Includes being able to:

  • Develop and coordinate, outreach, external partnerships.
  • Develop communication plan (coordinate with Admissions) and communicate information about the Beacom School of Business with prospective students, families, high schools and various other partners.
  • Plan and execute recruitment and yield events such as BSB summer camps, high school visits, open houses, webinars, college and career fairs, corporate information sessions, and admitted‑student experiences both on campus and externally
  • Represent the business school at community events, employer sites, and professional conferences.
  • Collaborate with alumni relations to integrate alumni speakers, panels, and success stories into events and marketing materials.
  • Work closely with business school leadership and faculty to translate program strengths into compelling marketing narratives.
  • Partner with career services to highlight employer engagement, internship pipelines, and job placement outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high school administration, regional employers, chambers of commerce, and community organizations to support recruitment and brand visibility.
