Description

The City of Springfield's Department of Environmental Services is looking for a Strategic Coordinator to help keep some of the department's most important work moving forward. Environmental Services is a great place to work for people who want to make a difference in the community while helping protect the environment.

In this role, you will help drive the department's Sustainable Strategic Plan by keeping employees engaged, making sure their voices are heard, supporting committees and workgroups, and helping connect the plan to the day-to-day work of the department. This position will help turn ideas into action by coordinating meetings, gathering feedback, tracking progress, and communicating updates.

The Strategic Coordinator will also support the department's Integrated Planning efforts, which requires strong communication and coordination with external partners at the local, state, and national level. This includes helping maintain relationships with partner agencies, coordinating reporting activities and events, supporting presentations, and keeping stakeholders informed.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people together, facilitating productive conversations, organizing information, and helping groups move toward clear outcomes. The ideal candidate will be organized, collaborative, and comfortable working on complex initiatives involving multiple people, programs, and priorities.

If you are someone who can help people see the bigger picture, keep important work moving, and turn good ideas into meaningful progress, we encourage you to apply.
