Job Summary

NewEdge Advisors is a rapidly growing, multi-custodian (LPL Financial, Fidelity, Schwab, Raymond James, Goldman Sachs) RIA built by advisors for advisors. We provide elite independent practices with flexible investment solutions, cutting-edge technology, back-office support, practice management, and a collaborative advisor community.

The Strategic Advocate acts as a strategic partner, trusted advisor, and internal champion for a territory of affiliated independent financial advisor teams. More than a relationship manager, this role is about proactively elevating the advisor experience—guiding business strategy, fostering community, and enabling access to the full value of the NewEdge platform.

At NewEdge, you’ll join a passionate team helping some of the industry’s best advisors grow thriving practices. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of advisor experience in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment—where your voice matters and your impact is real.

Location: New Orleans candidates preferred, but remote candidates will be considered as well.

Key Responsibilities

Advisor-Centric Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a defined territory of advisor teams, cultivating strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual check-ins, including annual partnership reviews and strategic planning sessions.
  • Help advisors acclimate to NewEdge post-transition and ensure continued engagement with available resources.
  • Identify and recommend tools, programs, and initiatives that support advisor growth, efficiency, and client service.

Strategic Enablement & Business Coaching

  • Collaborate with advisor leadership teams to co-develop business plans and practice management strategies.
  • Offer coaching on topics like growth planning, client segmentation, operational workflows, team structure, and technology utilization.
  • Promote continuous learning, innovation, and leadership development across the advisor base.

Trusted Advocacy

  • Serve as the voice of the advisor internally—escalating issues, surfacing feedback, and influencing improvements across the firm.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources (custodial, compliance, operations, tech, etc.) to resolve complex advisor needs.
  • Proactively identify patterns and opportunities for platform-wide enhancements.

Community Building & Engagement

  • Foster a culture of connection and idea-sharing through territory-based events, webinars, and peer forums.
  • Support broader firm-wide initiatives that promote collaboration, culture, and advisor-to-advisor learning.
  • Encourage advisor participation in NewEdge conferences and community experiences.

What Success Looks Like

  • Advisors feel genuinely supported, strategically enabled, and deeply connected to the NewEdge ecosystem.
  • High advisor satisfaction and engagement across your territory.
  • Increased adoption of key programs, services, and technologies.
  • Tangible advisor growth in AUM, revenue, client experience, and team efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in the RIA, hybrid-RIA, or broader wealth management industry.
  • Familiarity with the needs of independent advisors and multi-custodial platforms.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic conversations and influence outcomes.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a territory management, relationship management, or advisor consulting role.
  • Knowledge of tuck-in, aggregator, or platform RIA models.
  • Comfort with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and project management platforms.
  • Ability to travel regularly for in-person advisor visits and events.
