We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Strategic Account Manager to join our team. This role will focus on providing custom HVAC and mechanical solution services to our clients in the construction industry. If you are a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in business development and account management, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You will be responsible for managing key accounts, developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, and expanding our company’s customer base. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, modular HVAC, and mechanical solutions, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Job Details

Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute strategic plans to manage and grow accounts, meet and surpass sales targets.
2. Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
3. Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
4. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
5. Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
6. Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging your understanding of the HVAC and construction industry.
7. Provide regular reports of field sales success and communicate data and trends to sales and management teams.
8. Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
9. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Mechanical Engineering
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, account management, or a related role.
3. Familiar with Boiler Plants, Chiller Plants, Data Centers, and/or modular mechanical solutions.
4. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
5. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
6. Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors.
7. Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
8. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
10. Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment.
11. Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
12. Ability to prioritize among competing tasks.
13. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
14. Excellent time and project management skills. You're always looking to improve inefficient processes.
15. Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
16. Expert at Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and sales systems.

This role involves travel up to 50% at times. This sales territory will primarily cover the Mountain West region.
