About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented ERCOT Strategic Director to join our North America team with a strong focus on the Texas energy market. This role is critical informing business development and expanding our footprint across the greater Austin, TX region while also leveraging deep knowledge of the ERCOT and broader U.S. power markets. Working autonomously, the ERCOT Strategic Director will collaborate closely with the Regional VP (West) to develop and execute strategic initiatives while applying established industry relationships, regional market expertise, and consultative software-sales capabilities.
This position will oversee the full commercial cycle across greater Austin, serving as the primary commercial point of contact while collaborating with a virtual portfolio team to engage, retain, enable, and expand Energy Exemplar's customer base, covering both current clients and new prospects. The role requires the ability to connect regional and state-level market developments—particularly within Texas and ERCOT—to broader national energy trends and regulatory dynamics.
They will be responsible for building and qualifying pipelines through creative and strategic activities, cultivating executive-level relationships, and converting qualified opportunities into closed deals with the support of technical and solution teams. These activities will align with new-logo methodology and modern SaaS-driven CRM processes.
