Teach Driver''s Education behind the wheel (BTW) sessions to high school students 16 to 20 hours per week in Stoughton. Alternatively, two candidates may be hired who can teach 8 to 10 hours of behind the wheel (BTW) lessons per week. An asset to the position is the flexibility the teacher has in scheduling the BTW lessons and working independently. Lessons can be conducted after school and/or weekends, depending on the instructor's availability.
$160.62 per completion of a student ($26.77 per hour). A planned increase in wages will be put in place for 2026-2027. CESA 2 will contribute to WRS if the employee meets WRS eligibility criteria. There is also an opportunity for incentive pay for BTW instructors.
Education/Experience
Bachelor''s degree in Education or have a valid WI DPI teaching license or guidance counselor license. DPI Certification in Driver Education preferred however an alternate path to DPI DE teacher licensing is available. If the candidate does not have a WI DPI DE teaching license, then an emergency license can be applied for once hired along with enrollment in our DE teacher licensing program. CESA 2 has a DPI approved teacher licensing program in Driver Education which is free for CESA 2 employees. In order to be considered, the candidate must have a DPI approved teaching license in another subject area. A substitute teacher only teaching license does not qualify as an approved teaching license in this instance.
Candidates must have a clean motor vehicle record indicating no major violations in the last three years.
