Storeroom Attendant - Product (2181)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records of supplies, tools, and equipment, updating databases and reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and records
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, noting any damages or discrepancies
• Sort, label, and store items in designated locations, ensuring accessibility and proper organization
• Distribute materials according to requisition forms and assist other departments with supply requests
• Conduct routine physical inventories and periodic audits to maintain stock accuracy
• Monitor stock levels, anticipate future needs, and order materials to maintain minimum inventory levels
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the storeroom, including proper disposal of expired or damaged items
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when required
• Prepare and pack items for shipping with proper documentation and labeling
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including running errands or assisting with warehouse operations

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in storeroom or warehouse operations is preferred but not always required
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and relevant computer software
• Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (typically up to 30 pounds) and traverse the storeroom efficiently
• Familiarity with safety regulations and proper handling of materials
