Store Manager Primary Objective

Store Managers are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a store. Must ensure the store operates efficiently provide high-quality customer service and manage staff. Maintain solid communication with the management team all associates in the store and throughout the organization. They are also involved in strategic planning and marketing efforts. Be a partner in the community we serve.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the grocery store Managing and leading a team of staff and providing them with training and development opportunities Monitoring inventory levels and ordering stock as required Implementing and maintaining store policies and procedures Ensuring the store complies with health and safety regulations Dealing with customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner Setting targets and goals for the store and staff and implementing measures to achieve them Developing marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones Coordinating with vendors and suppliers Monitoring stores financial performance and finding ways to increase profitability Ensuring the store layout is customer-friendly and products are easily accessible Develop business strategies to raise our customers pool expand store traffic and optimize profitability Meet sales goals by training motivating mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards Report on buying trends customer needs profits etc. Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers complaints grievances etc.

Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control Implement and oversee security procedures to minimize theft and other losses Monitor inventory levels and order new items as needed

Qualifications

Proven successful experience as a retail manager Powerful leading skills and business orientation Customer management skills Strong organizational skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to use technical information to solve problems Ability to lead and direct others Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements

Physical Requirements

Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions Ability to use handheld computers for orders mark downs scan outs and inventory Stand 100 of the time frequently walking short distances Ability to push or pull up to 2000 pounds using a pallet jack or float Perform repetitive hand and arm motions Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously 25 lbs. frequently and approximately 100 lbs. on occasion Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials and household cleaners Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level occasionally above shoulder or below waist level Meet established volume activity standards for the position Tolerate working in extreme hotcold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time Have sufficient visual ability to check invoices dates and other written documents
