Role Description
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall success of the store by leading daily operations, developing a high-performing team, delivering outstanding customer service, and driving profitable results. This position oversees all aspects of store performance, including sales, merchandising, inventory, staffing, scheduling, safety, and operational standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is committed to creating an exceptional experience for both customers and team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure efficient and profitable performance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive relationships within the community.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members.
- Create and manage employee schedules to meet labor and productivity goals.
- Monitor sales, expenses, inventory, and merchandising to maximize profitability.
- Ensure pricing accuracy and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing store conditions.
- Promote loss prevention through inventory controls and theft deterrence.
- Partner with merchandising, pricing, and operations teams to implement company initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
- Maintain a safe workplace for customers and team members.
Work Experience
- Previous management experience in retail, grocery, convenience store, or a similar customer-focused environment preferred.
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing employees.
- Experience with inventory management, merchandising, scheduling, and daily store operations.
- Proven ability to achieve sales, labor, and profitability goals.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
