The job description listed below is meant to be an overview of the duties and basic responsibilities of a Manager. It by no means totally details everything that may arise in the field that a Manager may have to handle or make decisions on.

  1. To always lead by example and conduct themselves in such a way that would always support our companys mission statement and our core values.

  2. To always work with and train every store employee to help them build value in themselves and for Burns and Burns Inc. so that we may provide the level of service that our customers expect.

  3. To control inventory and any issues involving inventory, labor, bank deposits, cash, spoilage, store use, cleaning supplies, and any other controllable items in their store.

  4. To constantly monitor and act on reports that are generated by the corporate office that involve sales, labor reports, bank deposits, cash control, spoilage, store use, promotions, all inventory issues, gas surveys, merchandise surveys, accidents, and any other types of reports or information that may be used to more efficiently run and operate our company.

  5. To ensure that overall store conditions inside and out meet our company standards. A few examples: • Clean parking lots • MPDs working properly • Safety and maintenance issues • Employees clean and in proper uniform • Overall cleanliness of sales area and restrooms • Any stock out issues • Required reports being filled out timely • Service level to our customers • Proper vendor check in • etc.

  6. Managers will be expected to take corrective action on any issue mentioned or not mentioned above that involves the overall operation of their store.

  7. To always be aware that employees are using company equipment correctly and safety issues are being followed to prevent injury to our customers and employees who may also prevent costly claims and repairs.

  8. Managers are on 24-hour call and will be expected to promptly respond and handle any calls received from their store or upper management. Exceptions being that a Store Manager have made prior arrangements to be unavailable such as vacations, illness, or family emergencies. If any emergency situations arise, the Store Manager will immediately contact the District Manager.

In addition to the above job description, managers must also be able to perform all of the duties of a Burns and Burns CSR.
