Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Store Manager to lead daily operations for our Gulfport division. The Store Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance, leading sales representatives and showroom staff, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This role plays a critical part in the success of the showroom by overseeing team development, customer service, marketing efforts, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, retail or B2B sales management experience, and a passion for delivering excellent service.
This position includes a bonus opportunity based on individual and showroom performance, including 5% of eligible gross profit generated from personal sales.
Responsibilities:
Showroom Operations & Customer Experience
Oversee daily showroom operations, ensuring a professional, clean, and welcoming environment.
Open and close the showroom according to established company procedures.
Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely fulfillment and delivery of orders.
Maintain high service standards and handle customer service concerns effectively.
Manage showroom layout and product displays to optimize visual merchandising and customer interaction.
Sales & Business Performance
Monitor and drive sales performance across the showroom and salespersons.
Set and manage individual and team goals to achieve company sales objectives.
Analyze sales data and KPIs to identify opportunities and implement improvements.
Collaborate with ownership on strategic planning, product assortment, and business development initiatives.
Marketing & Promotion
Execute local showroom marketing and advertising campaigns to drive traffic and grow member engagement.
Plan and manage promotional events to increase visibility and attract new business.
Maintain relationships with industry professionals and local partners to generate referrals and leads.
Team Leadership & Development
Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to support team growth.
Foster a team culture centered around accountability, integrity, and customer service excellence.
Develop incentive programs and recognition initiatives to motivate team members.
Financial Management
Manage showroom budgets, purchasing, and operating expenses.
Review P&L statements and financial metrics to ensure business profitability.
Work with warehouse and operations leadership to align budget goals and cost control efforts.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar retail or B2B sales leadership role.
Strong understanding of sales performance management, team leadership, and customer service.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team toward achieving sales and service goals.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning internal POS and CRM systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and leadership.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or certifications in business or sales preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant management experience, preferably in the home improvement, flooring, or showroom-based sales environment.
Experience in reading P&L statements, managing marketing activities, and overseeing operational budgets.
