Store Manager

 
Reports To: Premier Franchisee/Owner


General Purpose:

 Oversee daily store operations to ensure profitability, control inventory, protect company property, and maintain accurate financial records. Assist with hiring, training, customer service, and growing store business.
 

Key Responsibilities

 
Daily Operations

      Oversee all store activities and employee performance.
      Maintain accurate computer and paper records, including backups and secure storage.
      Protect store property by following proper inventory, security, and alarm procedures.
      Ensure all money received is handled correctly and deposited daily.
      Enforce all company policies and procedures.
      Report all store transactions accurately.

Customer & Sales Management

      Approve or decline customer orders and verify customer information.
      Ensure timely, accurate deliveries, installations, and service work.
      Help increase store revenue and manage customer accounts, including non-renewals.
      Assist with gaining new business.

Employee Management

      Assist with recruiting, hiring, supervising, and training employees.
      Ensure all employees stay on track with required training.
      Hold weekly staff meetings.

Inventory & Asset Management

      Follow proper inventory check-in/out procedures.
      Conduct daily walk-throughs to check equipment and property.
      Review weekly Vehicle Maintenance Reports and confirm proper signatures.

Corporate Communication
 
      Respond promptly to requests from Corporate Office, President & VP of Operations, Regional Manager, and other stores.


Requirements

 
      High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
      Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
      DOT certification (if required by your state).
      Completion of management training program.
      Minimum six months of rent-to-own management experience (or similar).
      Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
 

 Skills Needed

 
      Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
      Ability to read, write, and perform basic math quickly and correctly.
      Strong reasoning and decision-making skills.
      Ability to manage customer and employee situations professionally.
      Knowledge of store products and ability to perform all in-store tasks.
      Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
 

 Working Conditions

 
      Fast-paced environment with frequent walking, bending, lifting, and physical activity.
      Extended hours may be required.
      Local and occasional out-of-town travel.
      Must handle stress and multitasking well.
      Work occurs both in the store and in customer homes, sometimes in difficult conditions (stairs, tight spaces, uneven ground, weather extremes).
       Must attend company training sessions as needed.

      Work takes place in a variety of environments and may change throughout the day.
      Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and other physical activity.
      Must be able to handle multiple tasks, solve problems quickly, and work well under pressure.
      Extra hours before or after regular business hours may be needed.
      Frequent travel between stores—both local and occasional out-of-town—may be required.
      Must be able to manage the emotional and mental stress that comes with working with customers and employees.
      Work happens mostly in the store, but also in customers’ homes and in the field.
      Fieldwork may involve challenging conditions such as:
  • Carrying merchandise across dirt, gravel, icy, or uneven surfaces
  •  Navigating tight doorways, stairs, or slippery areas
  •  Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and other weather conditions
      Must be able to drive safely in various weather conditions.
      Must attend company and Premier Corp. training sessions when required.
 

Relationships

 
      Frequent interaction with customers, coworkers, management, suppliers, and service partners.
      Must communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, peers, and business associates.
