Job Summary:

The Store Manager reports to the Regional Store Manager, oversees the retail location activities to achieve a profitable store location and ensures employes adhere to Hollywood Feed’s #1 Policy, “Do what is right by the customer.”

Store Manager Key Responsibilities:

●Communicates openly and respectfully with supervisors, corporate office, and coworkers

●Works a minimum of 45 hours per week

• 3 closing shifts per week
• 3 Saturdays per month

●Attends the annual Store Manager Meeting in person

●Ensures all Hollywood Feed policies and procedures are followed, including compliance with health and legal requirements

●Leads employees in the Hollywood Feed Standards of Business with a clean, organized, and safe location to ensure the protection of both customers and employees

●Leads employees in efficiently operating the store location by ensuring the team completes all daily tasks thoroughly and correctly

●Ensures positive, long-term customer relationships by modeling how to resolve issues, anticipate and address customer needs

●Develops community relationship by attending or creating events to engage with the public via social media and maintain the store’s online presence.

●Works with Regional Manager and HR in the onboarding process of employees

• Conduct interviews
• Execute communications with applicant during hiring process
• Orchestrate the orientation and training of employees

●Develops store location employees

• Conducts the required Monthly Store Meeting
• Coaches employees in position development to reach individual and store goals
• Conducts bi-annual performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
• Ensures compliance to policy and executes discipline/termination of employees as needed in accordance with company policy
• Engages employees to take responsibility for their job and the store’s goals by fostering a positive and teamwork minded environment
• Works alongside team to place and rotate merchandise to attract positive attention from customers, and accomplishing related results, as needed

●Executes administrative tasks thoroughly, correctly and timely

• Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies
• Ensures Warehouse/Vendor orders are processed correctly when received, using the company point of sale system. Also, research, analyze, communicate and correct discrepancies with the appropriate department
• Ensures that employees are thoroughly and accurately completing the required monthly cycle count but also proactively doing weekly spot inventory counts

Education:

•High School Diploma or equivalent experience

●Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store point-of-sale system

●Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office Suite or related software

●Organized and detail oriented with the ability to multitask to meet deadlines; works well under pressure

●Valid driver’s license and a minimum of 2 years driving experience. (Time frame can include a learner's permit)

Physical Requirements:

●18 years of age and older

●Physically able to lift 40 lbs repeatedly up to head height to stock shelves and put away deliveries multiple times a day

●Physically able to continuously bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist multiple times a day

●Physically able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours

●Physically able to climb ladders multiple times a day to put up and access products for customers

●Meet the requirements of our Safe Driving Policy and be willing to drive our company owned Same Day Delivery Vehicle.
