They supervise total store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability, enforce company policies, goals, and standards, and keep the sales team focused on meeting sales targets. The Store Manager consistently communicates with the District Sales Manager and the Store Support Center to drive initiatives and business growth, representing the company's brand through appearance, attitude, and professionalism to employees, customers, and the community. They are knowledgeable in all product areas and are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and promoting merchandise.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrive store sales and meet sales goals, consistently focused on company growth.Manage and control company assets by managing the designated store.Direct and oversee entire store sales efforts; train and mentor associates in sales strategies and skills.Stay constantly informed on all aspects of the store, including sales statistics, inventory, and expenses, to generate profit.Consult and collaborate with the District Sales Manager to establish and enforce policies, goals, and procedures.Direct staff to ensure all responsibilities and standards in each department are completed.Mentor and cultivate a team of outstanding Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training.Carry out personnel recruiting, hiring, training, discipline, and evaluation; manage the store's payroll and schedule to meet labor goals.Maintain proper security for the store; partner with Asset Protection to prevent theft and reduce shrink.Communicate with the District Sales Manager and keep them informed about inventory movement, driving inventory goals and strategies.Consistently and vigorously follow through on all marketing and advertising plans and stay aware of customer trends.Keep abreast of competition and new ideas, and stay informed about community events to capitalize on potential opportunities.Deliver extraordinary customer service as highlighted in the customer service manual, including assisting customers upon entry and managing multiple customers during peak periods.Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring accurate internal controls; report potential fraud risks to appropriate management or officials.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManage subordinate supervisors and non‑management employees, including Sales Associates, Hub Drivers, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit.Carry out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.Engage in interviewing, hiring, and training; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.Experience managing and cultivating a sales team.3‑5 years of customer service experience; 3+ years of management experience.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.Analytical thinker with demonstrated business acumen.Ability to solve problems and juggle multiple tasks and priorities.Strong commitment to customer service.Strong leadership and communication skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
