Position Overview

The Store Install Specialist is instrumental in planning, purchasing, & financial management of construction material for store projects. This role has a direct impact on the financial integrity of construction material purchasing across the organization. The Specialist will work independently and proactively, manage significant spend, work across multiple concurrent initiatives, and make purchasing decisions that directly influence the financial management of projects. By overseeing new store projects, downsize, and capitol projects evaluating vendor pricing & ensuring accurate financials. Success is this role enables improved forecasting and stronger financial accountability across the construction material department. This position is responsible for purchasing material, including ordering, delivery, and tracking material and managing the sign vendors to ensure the exterior sign process is executed without any delay. Maximum emphasis is placed on providing accurate and constant communication with internal partners and vendors to ensure timely delivery of material and exterior signs for all new stores, remodels, capital projects, and store special projects.

A Day In The Life

Purchasing & Inventory Management

  • Provide end-to-end ownership of store-level material purchasing for all new store openings and capital projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant execution. Lead the full Purchase Order (PO) and financial release lifecycle, including creation, review, approval, tracking, invoicing, and reconciliation, while ensuring adherence to internal controls and corporate policies.

  • Maintain & improve upon tracking, reporting and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy, visibility, and availability of material across all locations. Includes comprehensive reporting on material spend, deliverables, and rollout status by project and location.

  • Establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships by setting clear performance expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and enforcing service level agreements to drive quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. Collaborate with external partners to determine optimal delivery, and tracking strategies for ongoing projects. Serve as a liaison between vendors, execution teams, finance, project management, logistics, and field leadership to ensure alignment and issue resolution. Partner closely with internal execution teams to evaluate needs for what is required for lease execution for exterior signs, provide accurate information for what is required for the construction team's needs and support for store openings and capital initiatives.

Financial Management

  • Manage and oversee financial allocations for the construction material purchasing function, including forecasting demand, and optimizing spend within approved budgets.

  • Provide ongoing financial reporting and insights to leadership to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement in purchasing management practices. Secure funding as appropriate in conjunction with leadership. Review special requests from stores.

  • Create, submit, and validate vendor invoices to ensure compliance with contracted pricing and terms; independently investigate and resolve discrepancies or non-compliance in partnership with vendors, construction, and store operations teams.

Youll Come With

Education: Associate degree or Equivalent work experience

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, buying, financial management, construction project management & execution

Skills and Abilities:

  • Position requires a high level of mathematical skills and attention to detail. Individuals must be highly proficient in Excel and Oracle. Expertise is needed in worksheet creation and maintenance. Coupa system experience a plus.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organization, and follow-up skills.

  • A successful candidate must possess a strong financial acumen & sense of urgency.

  • Make recommendations for process improvement and increased efficiency.

  • Ability to proactively plan & multi-task and prioritize changing schedules, competing demands.

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

  • Occasional travel
