Store Director

We’re seeking a dynamic Store Director to lead overall store operations, drive financial performance, and build a high-performing team in a fast-paced grocery environment located in the Fairfield area.  This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who excels in operations, team development, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Core duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead, hire, train, and develop department managers and store teams
• Drive store performance through strategic staffing, scheduling, and payroll management
• Oversee merchandising, product displays, and signage to maximize sales and profitability
• Manage inventory, ordering, and ensure stock accuracy and product rotation
• Ensure compliance with company standards and all regulatory requirements
• Maintain store conditions, safety standards, and overall presentation
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
• Partner with Loss Prevention to minimize shrink and protect company assets
• Analyze competitor activity and market trends to stay competitive

Required skills and qualifications:

• 5+ years of grocery or retail management experience (multi-department leadership)
• Proven leadership and team development experience
• Strong background in merchandising, inventory control, and store operations
• Ability to analyze sales data and make strategic, data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays when needed

Compensation:

• The salary range for this position is from $120K to $145K, depending on experience.
