Job Title: Store Design 3

Duration: 5 Months

Work Location: Beaverton, OR

Pay Rate : $60-64/hr

This role is qualified as a Store Design 5.

General Information:

Team details & who they will work with: Under the direction of a Design Director, you will develop and realize innovative, original retail environments, displays and digital solutions for retail stores. You will collaborate with internal and external design teams to complete multiple projects by using design processes and practices to ensure the creative intent, design results, timelines and budgets are met. You will partner with the Architecture, Storytelling design and Geo retail design partners to bring retail design excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Minimum required years of experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive, technically sophisticated design experience in architectural, experiential or brand design and a demonstrated ability to apply these skills in ways that elevate brand excellence.
• Education requirements: Bachelor''s degree or higher in architecture, industrial, or environmental design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
• Must have skills: (must have Portfolio available for team)
• Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Keynote.
• Showed strength in managing a design project or studio in the delivery of progressively complex projects of scale, budget, and size.

Nice to have skills:

• After Effects, Premiere, Miro, Figma, SketchUp and Unreal Engine
• Software/technical requirements:
• Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Keynote.
• Previous Nike/industry experience preference: Nike experience would be a major plus but not required but retail industry experience, retail environments, concepts, and programs will be considered a must need.

Sr. Designer - Story Design

The Brand Creative Retail Design team is the Catalyst for Retail Innovation! WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Seeking a Senior Design Expert for Retail Experience Design: An innovator, who will support and develop experience creative direction for Client''s Global Direct retail ecosystem, with online to offline connection. A strategic, collaborative and creative team leader, who will develop impactful / scalable creative solutions for immersive retail experiences and how these manifest as worlds. Always looking to expand the possibilities of immersive environments to build creative solutions that reflect client''s design ethos and improve the consumer retail experience. You have a track record of innovative creation of store architecture and environment and emerging technology to build impactful stores, spaces, consumer engagement and interaction. You can work across several design subject areas such as Brand Design, Environmental Design, Engagement Design and store journeys with ease. You ideate creative concepts, illustrate your ideas and be hands on as you lead projects to completion. You will work across multiple projects, partnering closely with the Global Brand Design Architecture and Storytelling studio team and agency partners to deliver highly innovative and immersive concepts and executions. You will deliver comprehensive store design creative concepts, stay tapped into the pulse of future design trends and apply this thinking to your work, growing the possibilities of immersive retail environments and experiences. We are looking for someone who shares our drive and agility to explore the new, who is passionate and determined to create boundary-breaking experiences. Ultimately, you will help push the design team into a new era of design thinking, with a vision to elevate the immersive retail environments and experiences our studio crafts.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

• Supports and partners with Global Retail Sr Creative Director to lead retail experience creative direction, design direction, and design continuity.
• Lead a design process of clear ideation. Focusing on strategy and exploration of architecture, environments, materiality and use of the environment.
• Ensures project goals and priorities align with client retail store, brand and business strategies (art and science).
• Encourage a studio that is constantly seek new and innovative ways to design consumer experiences through architecture, materials, fixture, environment, experience and 3d mediums.
• Directs the development of presentation materials that effectively communicate creative direction and design concepts to all levels of leadership and partners.
• Collaborate with peers, design counterparts, internal partners (client Store, development, Brand, Retail Brand, Brand Creative, Digital, etc.) and external partners to ensure feasibility of designs and functional needs are met.
• Actively gain knowledge and experience regarding client''s design ethos, the client matrix, products and processes.
• Drives education and inspiration, sharing knowledge and exposure to current and future trends influencing the innovation of consumer experiences and technology.
• Fosters innovative thinking, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Leads design processes to ensure results, timelines and budgets are met.
• Strong ability to work upstream, effectively elevate strategic concerns, assert influence in final outcomes.
• You may travel 10 % of the time.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive, technically sophisticated design experience in architectural, experiential or brand design and a demonstrated ability to apply these skills in ways that elevate brand excellence. • Bachelor''s degree or higher in architecture, industrial, or environmental design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
• Showed strength in managing a design project or studio in the delivery of progressively complex projects of scale, budget, and size.
• Proven track record of good judgment and ability to contribute meaningfully to the determination of policy and strategy.
• Proven track record of motivating teams, managing ambiguity, and effectively collaborating in decision-making.
• Tried expert in applying and performing design skills, including concepting, drawing/sketching, architecture, ideation, color theory, materials, texture, and spatial design in scale, visual presentation development and space planning layouts.
• Knowledge of and sensitivity to current trends in color, design, art, photography and experience design and their application to the athletic industry.
• Expert oral and written communication and presentations skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations to senior management.
• Ability to work cooperatively across streams and territories to share ideas and develop effective responses.
• Proven ability to work in a constantly evolving, high-growth environment.

• Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
• Demonstrated expertise using computer design applications including Keynote, Miro, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, V-Ray, AR/VR and Adobe Creative Suite
