POSITION INFORMATION

Job Summary:

The stockroom manager provides leadership for the stockroom team members and manages stockroom tasks. The manager works across company departments to solve problems, maintain flexibility to support a fast-paced customer service business, while also building the team up for future success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to manage stockroom administrative duties, including:
    • Oversee Pick-Pack-Ship team and operations to maintain on time delivery
    • Oversee inbound goods receipts via Air, Ocean, and Domestic carriers
    • Oversee Pick-Prep operations for assembly teams
    • Plan and instruct accurate inventory transactions and planned cycle / annual count
    • Process returns in collaboration with administration and suppliers
    • Conduct stockroom managerial duties including recruiting / onboarding / training of new team members, performance reviews, timecard approvals, PTO approvals, etc.
  • Partner with third-party freight forwarders and logistics agencies to monitor service performance and ensure the highest level of on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and team members to plan short-to-long-term tasks.
  • Provide exceptional, continuous communication with internal teams, external suppliers, agencies, and customers.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Training Requirement:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Business Administration, Import/Export, and/or Logistics training/education are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Operations, Warehousing, Logistics, Production support, and/or Import/Export Administration.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Territory and site-specific safety certifications may be required
  • Ability to attain and retain a forklift operator’s certification
  • Ability to attain and retain a crane operator’s certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A working knowledge of U.S. Import Regulations, including HTS classification and Country of Origin determination.
  • Proficiency in a major ERP system (e.g., SAP) for transaction processing and master data management.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Functional understanding of a global industrial spare parts supply chain and its documentation requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills required for continuous engagement with purchasing, spare parts team, service team, production teams, company leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • A strong customer service focus and a proactive, resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • Awareness and/or certification of professional and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, ANSI).

Physical Requirements:

These requirements include standing and speaking for more than two hours at a time on a continuous basis. Working on the computer/keyboarding will be required for extended time periods on a regular basis. Occasional crouching and carrying materials is required. Maximum weight should not exceed 50 pounds. Listening is necessary on a regular basis as this role deals extensively with internal and external stakeholders.

Working Environment: Occasional exposure to mechanical equipment; eye and ear protection, safety glasses and safety shoes as well as safety gloves are required to be used. Occasional exposure to chemical substances as well as heat, noise and any conditions associated with industrial environments. Occasional exposure to cold and extreme temperatures may occur.
