Job Summary

The Stockroom Associate is responsible for accurately picking, staging, receiving, and organizing inventory to support production and customer order fulfillment. This role requires exceptional attention to detail while maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring materials are handled safely, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The position is based in a stockroom office environment and does not require forklift operation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Pick and stage parts and materials accurately according to work orders and pick lists.
  • Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices when selecting materials.
  • Complete picking activities to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and shipped on schedule.
  • Receive finished goods into inventory and accurately record inventory transactions.
  • Safely transport, store, and handle materials to prevent damage.
  • Move materials between the warehouse and designated operational areas as needed.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
  • Package materials securely to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, or quality concerns promptly.
  • Follow direction from supervisors and complete assigned daily tasks and special projects.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a stockroom, inventory, warehouse, or materials handling environment preferred.
  • Experience performing inventory transactions and maintaining inventory accuracy preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete inventory documentation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently reach, bend, and perform repetitive material handling tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 1 pound.
  • Forklift operation is not required for this position.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
