YourJourney  

  • Supervise day to day functions of the stewarding department 

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen,chefs,cooks,servers, and other associates to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations. 

  • Assistand oversee the cleaning, transport, and store allchina, glassware, silverware, pots,pansandequipmentused in the food and beverage operations 

  • Ensure the restaurant and banquet kitchens are consistently stocked with the proper amounts of all equipment 

  • Assistand oversee proper sanitizing and cleaning all kitchen floors, recyclingbins and oil bins;maintainthe cleanliness of the recycle/trash room at all times 

  • Assistand oversee theremovingofused linen and restockingoflinen 

  • Train associates on operatingcommercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. 

  • Ensure that all items are properly sanitized and stored according to established procedures and health code regulations. 

  • Monitor water temperature, detergent levels, and equipment functionality tomaintaineffective dishwashing operations. 

  • Empty trash bins, dispose of food waste, andmaintaincleanliness in kitchen and dining areas. 

  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing, glove usage, and temperature control procedures. 

  • Assistwith removing usedkitchen towelsand restockingkitchen towels    

  • Assistwith training and development 

  • Conduct daily lineups and attend relevant operational meetingsandassistwith administrative duties 

  • Deliver onguests’expectationsand have thedesireto create WOW moments 

  • Performadditionalduties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs

Must Haves  

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays 

  • Basic communication skills 

  • Prior dishwashing/stewardingexperience, a plus 

  • Prior supervisory experience, a plus 

  • Hotel experience, a plus

Physical Requirements  

  • Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over 

  • Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift 

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift 

  • Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi- regular basis 

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F).

 The pay scale for Stewarding Supervisor is $21.50.

The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
